There was an e-mail issue, where I was contacting the old email address, which had recently changed.
I was contacted by Agnes, who was extremely helpful in the past, and continues to be to this day.
She has been instrumental in ensuring all is taken care of, and is currently assisting me to rectify the issues.
I am very happy with Vividstorm and the excellent service I am receiving.
Best customer service and great screen!
With this screen, day time watching is enjoyable as ambient light gets rejected, it’s not all black but it’s really good and the colors are saturated. Of course the best time to watch is in the evening or at night, paired with a Formovie UST laser projector. The screen is perfect for it and I’m very happy with the purchase. The images are very bright and the colors are saturated. The night sky with stars scenes will not disappoint.
One regret. I waited too long, but I promised myself I won’t buy anything new until the old broke. Well it broke as the power supply in my old projector died with a bang and magic smoke. So I got a new screen and projector.
I would highly recommend this screen to anyone looking to use it with a UST laser projector, well worth the investment given the quality and performance.
I am so glad that I bought this screen, which hides away when not in used, reveals what’s behind the screen, in my setup it’s a large windows that let in natural light; and it cover the window that needed to be covered anyway when in use, the ALR factor also works extremely well with ultra short throw projector, IMO it’s way better than a large TV in many different ways. I enjoy every single use in the last 14 months, few days back an issue occurred that have ripped the screen on the far left side of the screen as shown in the first picture; communicated with the customer service team, after a through investigation that it is in fact a quality control issue and they really stood strong behind their product by sending me a replacement unit, 14 months after the purchase! Kudos to the superb customer service; I am definitely a returning customer to vividstorm and recommends to all friends has any need for their projector setup!
I chose a motorized screen for 3 main reasons: 1) I'm still using my plasma TV daily, so I needed something I could occasionally use in front of it, rather than mounted to a wall, 2) Even without a plasma, I wouldn't want the eye sore of a 100+ inch screen in my living room, and 3) I liked the idea of something relatively portable, and although awkward to carry because of its length and weight, in its closed form, this unit has a relatively easier time moving around and through doorways and downstairs to my basement than I imagine a full screen being able to maneuver.
The motor function is smooth, pretty fast, and not too loud. It's nice that you can fine tune the height as well, and there's a remote that lets you do these main functions too.
The ALR/CLR surface definitely does what it should by rejecting overhead lights and other ambient light in the room, but don't expect miracles in broad daylight if your viewing room lets in a lot of natural light. That said, I can still watch things via my USTP anytime, it simply won't be as punchy as it is the darker the room gets.
A few cons: the screen surface isn't perfect. Upon close inspection, you can see little blemishes scattered about, but once you're in the proper-distanced seating position with the projector on, they seem to vanish. My biggest gripe is the left and right edges have a slight "curl" to them, so if you max out your projected image, you'll see the edges of your image distort slightly along those curled edges. However, if you adjust such that you leave a 1 or 2 inch blank border, you can defeat the edge distortion. This is worth mentioning because technically that gives you less than 100" of viewable screen size, and for that reason I wish this came as a 104" screen standard to accommodate that margin of error.
Otherwise this thing is built like a tank, has a good screen material, works with 3D, and helps my new Formovie Theater look its best. Very cool.
It seems RF remote is not working and USB trigger is not working well with my projector.
However IR remote is working well.
We paired it with the VAVA UST projector and it's nothing short of FANTASTIC.. !!
The picture quality is amazing.. we watch it with lights on or windows not fully closed but the ambient light doesn't affect the quality by any means.. we love it..
For anyone living in a condo and a smaller space, consider a drop down in the window bay or floor mounted screen. See pic
Big fan, love how it hides when not in use and then goes up when you need it. Keeps my kids friends from screwing with it. Also, because it is on the ground it hides any speaker wires behind it. Win Win!!
On top of its high quality, the customer service is amazing too! They are responsive and helpful. Whenever I email them with questions, they respond within a day with detailed answers.
Overall we are very happy with the purchase and would recommend this screen to everyone!
The picture quality is excellent, the packing was outstanding and the shipping was far faster than estimated. Only problem is that this is an expensive screen but you get what you pay for...
We had an issue with the screen retracting and not stopping.
But I am beyond happy with this purchase. I wish I had room for a bigger one (I got the 100 inch version).
First you will notice the packaging. I have never seen anything so carefully and thoroughly packed for shipping. Obviously at this price point you would hope companies would respect your purchase enough to take care of it, but few do. So big thanks to Vivid Storm for that. Oh, and it arrived well before the estimated delivery time, too.
As for performance, it's amazing. It's paired with the Samsung ultra short throw projector and the picture is just incredible. Watched a movie in the middle of the day - no problem. Lights on - no problem. At night with the lights out - stunning.
Just a phenomenal product. Easy 5 stars.
I've included a video (Amazon only allows one) of the screen in action. The clarity and color pop can't be captured by the phone camera but you can see how large of a picture you'll be getting and the viewing angle and light rejection is incredible. Believe me, the 4K picture is really crisp and you can still have some light in the room and it will look amazing. It really is as clear and crisp as a 4K LED tv.
I'm using a Vividstorm screen, Optoma Cinemax P2, Sony 4K Blu-Ray player, Nakamichi Shockwafe 9.2.4 sound system, and a Roku Ultra. (The video is the Roku Ultra streaming a Pixar movie).
If I ever need another, I'm going right back to Vividstorm.
The screen didn't disappoint me, picture quality is great, but what exceed my expectations is their customer service. Had an small issue with the screen but it annoys me, sent them a message and email, got their responses almost immediately. After a few back and forth messages, they agreed to send me a replacement screen. The prompt responses, communications, and accommodations well exceed my expectation. If you are looking to purchase a projector screen, go for Vividstorm!
This screen, in contrast, is amazing! I love that it retracts so it doesn't dominate the living room when not in use. I love that it raises up instead of dropping down, so, when retracted, it's barely noticeable behind my entertainment center. It's also much easier to mount than a screen that drops down. And the picture is decent during daylight hours, even without blackout shades. The picture is definitely best in a very dark room, but, unlike with my old screen, you can have a very pleasant experience watching tv in a dimly lit room.
This is more than 4x as expensive as my previous cheap screen, but it's an order of magnitude better. For me it's worth the price.
It worked fine with the Optoma, but then I picked up a new Epson LS800. And an UST laser projector on that screen was just annoying. Like watching something projected onto a flag.
I went back and forth about this one. I found a nearly identical looking one that would be available in 6 to 8 weeks for nearly a grand less, but I didn't want to wait that long, and I wasn't sure I wanted to use a brand new system that was being released for the first time, and deal with bugs. So I finally sucked it in, pulled the trigger on this pricey thing.
Delivery was fine, they came and set it down in my great room where I laid out space for it. I was a bit disappointed the box had NO indication on it of which way was up. Rather, there was one spot that had an arrow that looked like it MAY have been that indicator but it turned out it was pointing in the wrong direction.
Unboxing was simple enough, but there's three garbage bags full of styrofoam pieces that were in here. It truly does ship well protected. The screen itself is wrapped in a plastic protective film. That is then in the styrofoam which is inside the cardboard box, which is then again wrapped for protection. Then there's four long protective corner pieces that go the full length, as well as corner protective pieces, and both ends are wrapped yet AGAIN in protective plastic to help hold that protection in place. Then there is the yellow plastic binding straps in six or eight spots.
The bottom has two rubber rectangular feet that it will settle on. It came with two remotes, and until you look at the tiny writing on the bottom you don't know which is which, since the owner's manual doesn't say anything about which is white and which is black, and they both look identical other than the color. White one is the RF by the way.
I got it in place, raised it up, and was pleased with how fast it raises and lowers. Twice as fast as my wall hung motorized 125" Elite screen.
I didn't have any issues with wrinkles or lines with that first opening. I've been leaving it open the last few days just to help make sure everything is stretched out right anyway.
What can I say? I was worried about going with a low gain screen, even though my projector does 4000 lumen. But while I have blackout cellular shades everywhere in the house, I don't keep my house dark as midnight, so I wanted something that could handle ambient light well, yet still give me a good picture. With the high lumen output I felt safe using a darker screen, and I really hoped that would help the black levels.
And it did. My jaw still hasn't returned to the fully upright position yet in the 2 days I've been playing with this thing. I left the Elite white screen up so I could do half and half photos of this, at various times of the day, with various light levels, to see the difference, and it is simply astounding. Granted, the white screen looks just as good in total darkness for the bright spots, but it can't reproduce the black levels the same. I'll put some pictures here showing both screens, so you can see in different lights just how MUCH of a difference this ALR screen can make.
I haven't tried the "beta" USB stick yet - and if it's been a few years why do they still call it beta, unless they simply don't want to have to support it? I'm guessing that it is incompatible with far too many projectors so this way they don't have to do phone calls with people wanting to make it work with their projector.
The tension seems to work well. I'm actually using this as a borderless screen, since there are no black spots on the left and right side. I get a tiny bit of curl that last half inch or so from the tension, but it's barely noticeable. I could use a feature on the projector and cut the last half inch or so off the picture via the remote control, but I don't bother.
I've been up and down half a dozen times, and it always positions itself correctly. I didn't have to do any adjusting since I actually set this up with the projector placed where it needed to be with the default height. I'm happy.
If you have the need for using a UST projector in an area that has some light, this is definitely the way you need to go. I can't wait to remove the Elite screen from the wall, since that's just a bit ungainly up there when it's not in use. Yes, my home is truly one big man cave, but even I get tired of seeing that hanging up there. This is FAR more unobtrusive than the Elite.
I tossed a couple photos showing non ALR and ALR in bright settings, a shot from Horizon Forbidden West in a dark setting, and a shot from a movie where you can see how bright the room is, and how amazing the picture still looks in that much light. I only used that Optoma for 56 hours over a few years, I've almost reached that with this new projector in a week. With this screen I'm going to use it VERY often.

I purchased during the holidays. It arrived by DHL a lot faster than I anticipated (I wanna say like in 12 days) and in sturdy packaging so great product condition out of the box. There's no assembly required. I've attached video/ photo. The version I got has a perforated finish just above the housing so a center speaker behind it tilted at angle hits the viewer direct.
I paired the Vividstorm screen with an Optoma short throw (not seen in video/ photo); any reasonable short throw will do. The picture quality is AMAZING with AMAZING blacks levels due to ALR screen.
Lastly, functionality is a thumbs up -- it functions perfectly, rising and setting smoothly... And with the 120" (as seen in photo) it's HUGE! taking up almost my entire basement wall. I highly recommend.
Their customer support via amazon chat is top notch too. They respond within 24 hours with any questions. I had a bug splatter on the screen from when it rolled up one night which they asked me to take pictures of and then sent to their technical team to give me the best solution! Just wow, finally a company who cares about their end users and stands by their product. And the solution was very simple - wipe side to side (NOT UP AND DOWN) with a very soft cloth and water - I used a camera lens microfiber cloth and got it right out with light pressure. BUT contact them before doing anything just to make sure it will work for you and you don't damage your screen.
I continue to enjoy this screen during the day and night time - if you have a UST this is a must!
For those new to this type of screen, the material can sometimes be hard to see at wider angles, but this one can be seen clearly at nearly 90deg. The color is great, and the material is nice and tight so there are no wrinkles or depressions that can be very distracting. Of course, since it's not an lcd/oled/whatever display, there is also no glare. At the size I got, the brightness easily overcomes ambient light, although just like a regular screen, direct sun light will wash out the image.
The casing is sturdy and looks good, and the acoustic skrim is an excellent addition!
